EIGHTEEN YEARS OF HMO CARE SERVED READER'S FAMILY WELL.(MAIN)

It has been disturbing to see HMO's vilified recently, all tarred with the black brush from the few bad ones.

We are proud and fortunate to have been members of CHP (Community Health Plan) for many years. The health care our family has received has been excellent, informative and compassionate.

When we joined, we were all given baseline physicals. Our daughter had had a large, raised mole on the back of her neck from birth. CHP took one look at it, sent her to the head of plastic surgery at Albany Med, and into the hospital she went to have it removed. They called it a ``hairy nevus,'' which has a chance of becoming …
