America West Announces New Nonstop Service Between Phoenix and Tampa, Fla.

PHOENIX, March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- America West Airlines today announced it will add new daily nonstop service between Phoenix and Tampa, Fla., beginning Aug. 1, 1999. The new flight will be operated with a 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft featuring seating for 12 first class and 138 coach class passengers.

"The addition of nonstop service between Phoenix and this popular destination is great for customer convenience," said Mike Smith, senior vice president, marketing and sales. "Nonstop service will continue to be an important aspect of our current and future expansion plans."

The new service from Phoenix to Tampa complements existing America West service to Miami and Orlando, Fla. America West currently provides daily nonstop service to Tampa from its Las Vegas hub.
